Watermaker

HYTOR's Watermaker can produce approx. 33,000 litres fresh water from salt water.

The watermaker is applied for producing fresh water from salt water. The method bases on a principle called reverse osmosis.

Reverse osmosis is a filtering technique, which allows filtering of both ions and solute substances in water (minerals) by means of a very fine membrane (0.001-0.0001 mm). First and foremost this principle gained ground through production of fresh water from salt water.

Most of the similar fresh water facilities can produce approx. 15,000 litres of water per day. HYTOR’s Watermaker can produce approx. 33,000 litres, and an upgrade with 2 extra membranes can increase the capacity to approx. 40,000 litres.
