Oil skids for Howden

Howden Denmark has chosen HYTOR to be its new supplier of oil skids. Oil skids are important elements in Howden's equipment and therefore the company makes special demands on the supplier.

Howden Denmark's demands have among others been easy access to the elements in the cabinets allowing easy servicing. Systems must be doubled. Elements forming part of oil skids must be available in the country in which the equipment is installed in order to reduce delivery time on spare parts in case of break-down or regular servicing. Furthermore the documentation must be prepared on the basis of the end-customer's specific requirements.

Howden Denmark supplies specially designed axial flow fans to industries having demanding air and gas management tasks, especially industries such as power stations, petrochemicals, mining and steel and cement production.

The skids supplied by HYTOR control the fan blades and lubricate the bearings of the main shaft.
At the end of 2008 HYTOR delivered 4 oil skids to a project in Finland. Subsequently Howden Denmark has placed orders for 2 similar oil skids for a project in Poland and 16 skids for a project in Romania.
