HYTOR as SKI supplier

As of 1 February 2008 HYTOR will be an approved SKI supplier within the area of research and laboratory equipment.

SKI (Staten og Kommunernes Indkøbscentral) is the Danish abbreviation for National Procurement Ltd. - Denmark which is a non-profit organisation owned by the State and the National Association of Local Authorities in Denmark. The purpose of SKI is to enhance the efficiency of and create less expensive procurement options for the public and semi-public sectors in Denmark. This means, that HYTOR has now precedence among the main part of the public and semi-public sectors in Denmark, which amounts to approx. 11.500 potential customers obliged to use the approved SKI suppliers. For HYTOR this means that all Danish universities and research institutes become prospective customers, which is a great potential.

A further benefit from the SKI approval is that where EU bidding procedures had to be followed in connection with the assignments of the public sector, mini-bidding procedures can now conducted between the 6 approved SKI suppliers within the area of research and laboratory equipment. In this way both the public sector and the suppliers save resources by not having to follow an EU proce-dure in connection with each separate case. At the same time it is a quality stamp in itself to be an approved SKI supplier.

n order to become a SKI approved supplier HYTOR has participated in a pre-qualification, where 12 relevant companies within the research and laboratory equipment area were selected. The 12 companies, including HYTOR, then submitted a bid allowing SKI to select 6 suppliers for this business area. The 6 suppliers were selected on the basis of the criteria: width of assortment, delivery and service conditions, prices, discounts, and environment. In this way the public sector is guaranteed a high quality standard when purchasing products from a SKI supplier.

HYTOR has been approved as a SKI supplier until 1 February 2010 with the option of contract renewal.
